Drinking plenty of water is the best way to prevent kidney stones. Everyone should drink at least eight glasses of water a day to help prevent kidney stones. It is important to drink enough water to keep you urine clear. Don’t drink all the water you need in a day all at once spread your water consumption out through out your day.
Grapefruit juice is a wonderful drink that is good for many things but grapefruit juice may increase a persons risk of developing kidney stones. Limiting the amount of grapefruit juice you drink can help lower your chances of getting kidney stones.
Ice water could possibly cause kidney stones as well. It is healthier to drink water that is not iced to help prevent kidney stones.
Kidney stone are able to pass through the body by themselves. It is painful for a person to pass a kidney stone. If a kidney stone will not pass through the body by itself then a medical procedure is needed to rid the body of the kidney stone. Usually a kidney stone can be medically removed with shockwaves that break a large kidney stone into smaller kidney stones. Then the smaller kidney stones can pass through the body by themselves.
